Heat the horses (Atlari yaharlayin) (translated)

Directed by Hasanağa Turabov and Abdül Mahmudov and produced at the Azerbaijanfilm studio, the Soviet-era period drama Atları yəhərləyin tells the story of Qaçaq Nəbi, the legendary folk avenger of the tsarist era. An ordinary village lad forced to take up arms by the unjust order of his time, Nəbi grows into a seasoned warrior and leader of outlaws whose band keeps the entire tsarist administration and the beys in fear for twenty years.

The sharply plotted film marked Hasanağa Turabov's debut as a director and was awarded first-category status. Turabov stars alongside Rasim Balayev, Mömünat Qurbanova, Gümrah Rəhimov and Ənvər Həsənov.
