Awwal Number

Awwal Number is a 1990 Indian Hindi-language sports action film. Dev Anand produced, directed, and wrote the film, and also appears in one of its leading roles. The cast includes Aamir Khan, Ekta Sohini, Aditya Pancholi, and Neeta Puri. The title can be translated roughly as "Number One", and the film runs about 143 minutes.

The story combines the world of cricket with thriller elements. A young player named Sunny is brought into the national team to replace longtime star Ronny, which fills Ronny with jealousy and a desire for revenge. As this rivalry develops, a terrorist threat emerges to bomb the stadium hosting the India-Australia match, and security officer Vikram Singh foils the attack. Sunny then seals his place as the country's new cricket star with the match-winning shot.
