Black Lightning

Black Lightning (original title: Chyornaya Molniya) is a 2009 Russian superhero film directed by Aleksandr Voytinskiy and Dmitry Kiselyov from a screenplay by Dmitriy Aleynikov, with acclaimed director Timur Bekmambetov serving as producer. Blending action, science fiction and fantasy, the 102-minute film opened in Russia on 31 December 2009, with some theatres screening it from 26 December. The story follows Moscow State University student Dima Maykov (Grigori Dobrıgin), who discovers that the old Volga his father gave him is actually a secret Soviet project — a car capable of flight. At first Dima uses the vehicle only to earn money, but he gradually becomes a hero known across the city as 'Black Lightning'. The cast also includes Ekaterina Vilkova, Viktor Verzhbitsky and Sergei Garmash.
