Bonus
Bonus (Russian: Premiya) is a 1975 Soviet drama directed by Sergey Mikaelyan at the Lenfilm studio. It is built on a production drama by Alexander Gelman, whose screenplay was later reshaped into the stage play "Minutes of One Meeting". The narrative follows a construction crew that turns down a monetary bonus because they feel they have not genuinely earned it, a decision that leads to a heated official meeting where personal ethics collide with bureaucratic pressure. The ensemble features Yevgeny Leonov, Oleg Yankovsky, Vladimir Samoylov, Mikhail Gluzsky, Armen Cigarhanyan and Boryslav Brondukov. Seen by roughly thirteen million viewers during its Soviet theatrical run, the picture stands among the most representative works of the production-drama genre of its period.
