Burnout

Burnout (German title: Abgebrannt) is a 2011 German drama film directed and written by Verena S. Freytag. Running about 103 minutes, it features dialogue in both German and Turkish, a bilingual character that reflects the immigrant milieus of contemporary Germany in which the story is set. Maryam Zaree and Michaela Caspar lead the cast, with supporting appearances by Cecil von Renner, Lukas Steltner, Tilla Kratochwil, Hildegard Schroedter and Monika Barth. As its title suggests, the picture deals with exhaustion and personal crisis, presenting itself as a quiet, character-driven work of independent German cinema rather than a plot-heavy production.
