Michaela Caspar — Biography

A long-time presence on German television, the German actress Michaela Caspar has also been described as a performance artist and director. International audiences remember her as Marguerite in Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) and as the Hall of Records clerk in the action film Hitman: Agent 47 (2015).

The weight of her career lies in German series. From 2000 she worked as a guest actor on productions such as Der Fahnder, In aller Freundschaft and SOKO Leipzig (Leipzig Homicide), returning to the latter two in later years as different characters. From 2011 to 2012 she played Frau Papenacker in four episodes of Stromberg. In the crime series Tatort she appeared in three separate episodes, in 2011, 2015 and 2016, each time as a different character: Martina Kästner, Simone Mendt and Birgit Meggle. She played Frau Netz in Deutschland 83 (2015) and Deutschland 86 (2018), and in 2018 also appeared as Frau Paslak in Bella Block. After a guest part in 2003, she returned to SOKO Leipzig in 2010 as Ruth Böttcher.

Among her film work is Last Stop Toyland (2009), in which she played Rektorin; in 2025 she was in the cast of Kafka: Hayatımın Aşkı and lent her voice to The Seasons.
