Crimson Curtain

Crimson Curtain (French: Le rideau rouge, also known as Ce soir on joue MacBeth) is a 1952 French crime drama film directed by André Barsacq. Barsacq co-wrote the picture with playwright Jean Anouilh, who also supplied the dialogue. The cast is headed by Michel Simon, Pierre Brasseur and Jean Brochard, with Jacques Dufilho and Edmond Beauchamp among the supporting players. The production was filmed at the Saint-Maurice Studios in Paris, and additional scenes were shot on location at the Théâtre de l'Atelier. Art director Jean-Denis Malclès designed the sets. As its alternate title suggests, the story unfolds around the theatre world and a staging of Macbeth, blending backstage drama with crime elements. The film runs roughly 84 minutes.
