CSI: Miami

CSI: Miami is an American police procedural series created by Anthony E. Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn and Ann Donahue, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The first direct spin-off of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, it aired on CBS from September 23, 2002 to April 8, 2012, running for 10 seasons and 232 episodes. The series follows a Miami-Dade forensic investigation team, led by former homicide detective Lieutenant Horatio Caine (David Caruso), as they unravel complex murders amid the city's tropical backdrop.

Produced jointly by CBS Television Studios and Alliance Atlantis, the show was filmed largely in Los Angeles despite its Miami setting. In 2006 it was named the world's most popular television series based on international rankings, and it aired in dozens of countries. David Caruso is the only actor to appear in all 232 episodes. In 2024, CBS revived the brand as the true-crime series The Real CSI: Miami.
