Amaury Nolasco — Biography
Amaury Nolasco was born on 24 December 1970 in Vieques, Puerto Rico, to parents of Dominican descent. After studying biology at the University of Puerto Rico, he moved to New York and trained at the American British Dramatic Arts School.
He began with guest roles on series such as Arli$$, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and ER, then made his feature debut in Takeshi Kitano's Brother before appearing in 2 Fast 2 Furious and Mr. 3000. In 2007 he took a role in Michael Bay's Transformers, turning down the sequel because of a scheduling conflict.
He is best known for playing Fernando Sucre on Prison Break, which ran from 2005 to 2009 and returned for a further run in 2017. He went on to appear in Chase, Work It and Telenovela, as well as CSI: Miami and Edge of Fear, and has received three ALMA Award nominations and one Teen Choice Award nomination.
