Dear Wednesday

Dear Wednesday (Persian: Cheharshanbe Aziz) is a 1993 Iranian comedy-drama film directed by Hamid Tamjidi, who also wrote the screenplay. Completed in the Iranian calendar year 1371, it opened in Iranian theatres on 22 Dey 1372, which falls in January 1994. Tamjidi produced the picture together with Gholamhossein Bolourian, Asghar Tousli and Hassan Shirzad, and the Persian-language work runs about 84 minutes. The cast includes Farrokhlagha Houshmand, Mehri Mehrnia, Alireza Khamsehnia, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Marjaneh Golchin, Pourandokht Mahiman and Mahmoud Basiri. The film is remembered as part of an Iranian cinema of its period that blended comic situations with dramatic storytelling.
