The Bubi Scholz Story (Die Bubi Scholz Story) (translated)

Die Bubi Scholz Story is a two-part German television film from 1998, directed by Roland Suso Richter from a screenplay by Uwe Timm. A biographical boxing drama, it traces the life of the celebrated German boxer Bubi Scholz, who is portrayed at different stages of his life by Benno Fürmann and Götz George.

The two-parter premiered on 30 December 1998 on Das Erste. Running roughly 205 minutes, it offers a broad portrait of Scholz's sporting career and personal struggles, and it was released on DVD in November 2018.
