Gunfight at Red Sands

Gunfight at Red Sands (original Italian title Duello nel Texas, Spanish title Gringo) is a 1963 Italian-Spanish co-production directed by Ricardo Blasco and Mario Caiano. It was the first Spaghetti Western produced by Albert Band, and the first Western made by Arrigo Colombo and Giorgio Papi's Jolly Film, the company that would produce A Fistful of Dollars the following year.

Starring American actor Richard Harrison in the lead, the film is also notable as the first Western to feature a score by Ennio Morricone. Considered one of the earliest Spaghetti Westerns through which the Italian film industry responded to the economic crisis of cinema starting in 1963, it was released in Germany in a shortened version on 1 May 1964.
