If It Don't Fit, Use a Bigger Hammer (German original title Was nicht passt, wird passend gemacht) is a 2002 German comedy directed by Peter Thorwarth. Hilmi Sözer is among the cast. Set on a building site in the Ruhr, the film follows a crew of slapdash workers who try to outwit their stingy boss Werner, who keeps forgetting to pay them, while contending with an arrogant architecture student, an asbestos problem and a leftover bomb from the Second World War. Driven by the motto that whatever doesn't fit is made to fit, it belongs among the popular German comedies of its day.
