Justinien Trouve, or God's Bastard

Justinien Trouve, or God's Bastard (original French title: Justinien Trouvé ou le Bâtard de Dieu) is a French film directed by Christian Fechner, released in France on 15 September 1993. Blending adventure, drama and historical genres, it is an adaptation of the novel "Dieu et nous seuls pouvons" by French author Michel Folco, with Fechner and Folco co-writing the screenplay. The film was promoted with the tagline "his birth is a mystery, his destiny a legend," hinting at a character of unknown origin and a legendary fate.

It is notable as the only feature film ever directed by producer Christian Fechner, and only the second time he worked as a screenwriter after Bons baisers de Hong Kong (1975), directed by Yvan Chiffre. Running approximately 160 minutes, the French-language production features Jean-François Dérec and Michel Peyrelon among its cast.
