Kaniz

Kaniz is a 1974 Iranian film directed by Kamran Qadakchian and written by Ahmad Najibzadeh. Shot in Persian, the picture blends horror and drama elements and runs for approximately 116 minutes. It is known as a loose adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock's classic Rebecca.

The cast features prominent actors of the era, including Saeed Rad, Zackaria Hashemi, Shurangiz Tabatabai, Turan Mehrzad, Jalal Pishvaian, Maloosak and Mohammadtaghi Kohanmouei. Kaniz is regarded as a notable example of Iranian genre cinema from the 1970s.
