Code Name Venus is a 2012 feature film written, directed and produced by Tamer Garip. A co-production between Turkey, the United Kingdom and Cyprus, originally shot in Turkish, the film wrapped filming in November 2011. It screened for the first time at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and opened theatrically on 21 December 2012 in Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The story follows Yasemin, born in Cyprus in 1930 and sent to England after the mysterious loss of her family. During her studies at Cambridge she falls in love with a British intelligence agent, then returns to the island to trace her family and is drawn into the political movements of the era. Her bond with Adamos, an EOKA leader played by Cengiz Bozkurt, places her at the heart of the turbulent Cyprus of the 1950s and 1960s, as the film portrays the suffering of both communities and the island's rising tensions through her eyes. Inspired by real events, the film is the result of a lengthy research process.
