Little Bride (Küçük Gelin) (translated)

Küçük Gelin (Little Bride) is a Turkish family drama series that aired on Samanyolu TV from 2013 to 2015. Produced by Ser Film and directed by Naci Çelik Berksoy, it ran for three seasons and 92 episodes before ending in November 2015 when the channel shut down.

The story follows Zehra, a bright 14-year-old student whose life is overturned when her family forces her to marry the son of a wealthy household she has never met. Torn away from her school, her little sister, and her parents, she moves into a large mansion where she lives with her husband, his mother, and the extended family, enduring constant emotional hardship as a child bride. Unwilling to accept this fate, she eventually tries to escape with the help of her teacher Melek. Through Zehra's ordeal, the series portrays the tragedy of child marriages, which remain a painful social problem in Turkey. The main cast included Çağla Şimşek, Gözde Mukavelat, Orhan Şimşek, Bengi Öztürk, Arda Esen, and Ufuk Şen, with some roles recast over the course of the series.
