La vie est belle

Movie · 1956 · 2 people

La vie est belle is a French comedy film released in 1956, jointly directed by Roger Pierre and Jean-Marc Thibault, both established stage and screen performers of their era. Its ensemble brings together Jacques Dufilho and Michel Serrault alongside such well-known comic players of the period as Jean Poiret, Francis Blanche, Noël Roquevert, Jean Richard, Philippe Clay, Béatrice Arnac and Florence Blot. Belonging to the tradition of light French screen comedy of the 1950s, the picture gathers a large company of actors, many of whom were then at the outset of their careers and would later become familiar character actors and comedians in French cinema. In this respect, the film also stands out as an early showcase for a generation of French comic talent.
