Madar Joonam Aashegh Shode

Madar Joonam Aashegh Shode, credited to director Akbar Sadeghi and screenwriter Yousef Iravani, is an 89-minute Iranian drama-romance shot in 1976. Marketed internationally under the literal title My Mom Has Fallen in Love, it tells a story built around the domestic emotional conflicts that were a recurring subject of Persian cinema in that era.

The leads Beyk İmanverdi and Marjan are backed by a supporting cast including Ezzatollah Moghbeli, Ahmad Moeini, Ali Dehghan, Esmaeil Shirazi and Hamideh Kheirabadi. Though it drew only a small number of audience ratings over the decades, the film survives as a modest example of the family melodrama tradition of 1970s Iranian film.
