The Masked Gang (Maskeli Beşler İntikam Peşinde)

The Masked Gang (Maskeli Beşler İntikam Peşinde) is a 2005 Turkish comedy directed and written by Murat Aslan and produced by Arzu Film and Fida Film. A remake of the 1968 film of the same name, it opened in Turkey on October 28, 2005 and ranked among the year's highest-grossing domestic productions.

The story follows Tezcan, Bahattin, Murat, Zeki and Kamil, five friends who grew up together in an orphanage and formed a remarkably clumsy criminal gang. Unable to make their mark in the underworld, the five finally plan the biggest heist of their careers to pay for the medical treatment of the sick child of a friend they hold dear. Much of the cast came from Hababam Sınıfı Üç Buçuk, and the film's success led Arzu Film and Fida Film to turn it into a series with The Masked Gang: Iraq (2007) and The Masked Gang: Cyprus (2008).
