Masks

Masques is a 1987 French feature film directed by Claude Chabrol. Blending mystery-thriller tension with comedic touches, the film stars Philippe Noiret, Robin Renucci, Anne Brochet and Bernadette Lafont. The screenplay was written by Chabrol together with Odile Barski. The film was selected for the competition of the 37th Berlin International Film Festival, where it was one of the three entries representing France that year. In the Soviet Union it was released in November 1989 with a dub produced by the Lenfilm studio.
