Missile X – Geheimauftrag Neutronenbombe
Missile X – Geheimauftrag Neutronenbombe is a Eurospy adventure co-produced by West Germany, Italy and Spain, riding the wave of the James Bond films. Peter Graves stars as a CIA agent determined to stop a megalomaniacal villain whose schemes involve a neutron bomb. His opponent is played by Curd Jürgens, fresh from his turn as the Bond adversary Stromberg in The Spy Who Loved Me. A large part of the production was filmed on location in and around Tehran in 1978, shortly before the Iranian Revolution brought down the Shah. The credits name American film and television veteran Leslie H. Martinson as director, though the picture was in fact directed by Italian co-producer and co-writer Cesare Canevari. The international cast also includes Karin Schubert, Pouri Banayi and Aldo Sambrell. In the United States the film was released under the title The Tehran Incident.
