My Life as a Comedian

My Life as a Comedian (original Swedish title En komikers uppväxt) is a Swedish drama from 2019, directed by Rojda Sekersöz and based on Jonas Gardell's autobiographical novel. A celebrated stand-up comedian, Juha, looks back on his childhood in a small Swedish town in the 1970s, where, as the class clown desperate to fit in, he quietly leaned on his neighbourhood friends. Gizem Erdoğan is among the cast. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
