Tschiller: Off Duty (Nick Off Duty)
Nick Off Duty, originally released as Tschiller: Off Duty, is a German action thriller from 2016 directed by Christian Alvart. Christoph Darnstädt wrote the screenplay, Norddeutscher Rundfunk was involved in the production, and the film runs about 140 minutes.
It belongs to the universe of Tatort, Germany's long-running crime series, and continues the story of the episode "Fegefeuer", first shown in January 2016. That makes it the third Tatort story produced for cinemas, after Zahn um Zahn (1985) and Zabou (1987).
Til Schweiger returns as inspector Nick Tschiller and Fahri Yardım as his partner Yalcin Gümer, both carried over from the television series; Berrak Tüzünataç also appears in the cast.
The action moves from Germany to Turkey and Russia, and a substantial part of the film was shot in Moscow with Russian performers. It was distributed internationally under the title Nick Off Duty.
