Brother’s Keeper (Okul Tıraşı)

Brother's Keeper (original title Okul Tıraşı) is a 2021 Turkish drama directed by Ferit Karahan, who co-wrote the screenplay with Gülistan Acet. The film premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in June 2021, went on to win the Golden Orange Award for Best Film, and was shown internationally under its English title.

The story unfolds in an isolated boarding school for boys ruled by pressure and harsh discipline. When his friend Memo suddenly falls ill, Yusuf decides to get him to a doctor, but the school administration's indifference and heavy snowfall blocking the roads stand in his way. As teachers and students wait for the roads to clear while dodging responsibility, hidden secrets and bitter confrontations come to light. The main cast includes Samet Yıldız, Ekin Koç, Mahir İpek, Cansu Fırıncı and Melih Selçuk.
