Over the Hedge (Orman Çetesi)
Over the Hedge, released in Türkiye as Orman Çetesi, is a 2006 American computer-animated comedy from DreamWorks Animation, directed by Tim Johnson and Karey Kirkpatrick from a screenplay by Len Blum, Lorne Cameron, David Hoselton and Kirkpatrick, based on the comic strip by Michael Fry and T. Lewis. This page covers the Turkish-dubbed theatrical version of the film, whose Turkish voice cast included Ayça Bingöl.
Running 83 minutes, the story follows RJ, a scheming raccoon who owes a bear named Vincent a replacement for a destroyed food stash. To pay his debt, RJ talks a band of woodland animals led by the cautious turtle Verne — freshly awake from hibernation — into raiding a nearby suburban housing development for food. The original English voice cast features Bruce Willis, Garry Shandling, Steve Carell, William Shatner, Wanda Sykes and Nick Nolte.
The first DreamWorks Animation title distributed by Paramount Pictures, the film opened in the United States on 19 May 2006 and in Turkish cinemas on 25 August 2006. It drew generally positive reviews, earned an Annie Award, and grossed about $339.8 million worldwide against an $80 million budget.
