Our Kind of Traitor

Our Kind of Traitor is a 2016 British spy thriller directed by Susanna White from a screenplay by Hossein Amini, adapted from John le Carré's 2010 novel of the same name. The ensemble cast includes Ewan McGregor, Naomie Harris, Stellan Skarsgård, Damian Lewis, Alicia von Rittberg and Grigori Dobrıgin. The film was released in the United Kingdom in May 2016 by StudioCanal.

The story follows Perry, a university lecturer holidaying in Morocco with his wife Gail, who befriends Dima, a flamboyant Russian. Embedded in the Russian mafia's money-laundering network and fearing for his family's safety, Dima wants to hand over evidence linking corrupt British politicians and businessmen to the mafia, using Perry as a conduit to MI6. The ordinary couple is thus caught between the Russian mob and British intelligence, gradually realising that neither side can be trusted.
