Peacetime in Paris
Peacetime in Paris (French: Une saison de paix à Paris, Serbian: Sezona mira u Parizu) is a 1981 drama film directed by Predrag Golubović and produced as a joint venture between France and Yugoslavia. Shot in French with a screenplay by Ratko Đurović, the picture runs a little over 100 minutes. Maria Schneider and Pascale Petit lead an ensemble that also features Dragan Nikolić, Alida Valli, Erland Josephson, Miki Manojlović and Raf Vallone. The film competed at the 12th Moscow International Film Festival in 1981 and came away with a Special Prize, which remains its most notable recognition. Four decades after its original release, the Yugoslav Film Archive teamed up with A1 and Centar film to digitally restore the picture, bringing it back to viewable condition for modern audiences. The restored print received its premiere on 19 September 2021, returning this Franco-Yugoslav production to the screen after years of relative obscurity.
