Quo Vadis?
Quo Vadis? is a 1985 international television miniseries produced by Italy's Rai together with partners from several countries, including Antenne 2, Channel 4, TVE and Swiss Italian-language television. Directed by Franco Rossi, it adapts Henryk Sienkiewicz's classic novel of the same title, with a screenplay by Ennio De Concini. Running about six hours, it was originally broadcast in six one-hour episodes on Rai 1. The story unfolds in ancient Rome under Emperor Nero, blending romance with political intrigue. Francesco Quinn plays an arrogant Roman legionary whose coarse, pleasure-seeking nature gradually softens through his love for a young Christian woman, portrayed by Cristina Raines. The large ensemble also features Klaus Maria Brandauer, Max von Sydow, Frederic Forrest, Ángela Molina, Barbara De Rossi, Gabriele Ferzetti, Massimo Girotti and Philippe Leroy, among others.
