Romantic Guide to Lost Places

Romantic Guide to Lost Places (Italian: Guida romantica a posti perduti) is a 2020 Italian-American drama and road movie directed by Giorgia Farina, who also co-wrote the screenplay together with Carlo Salsa and Heidrun Schleef. Clive Owen stars as Benno, with Jasmine Trinca playing Allegra; Irène Jacob, Andrea Carpenzano, and Edoardo Gabbriellini round out the main cast. The story follows two strangers, Benno and Allegra, who set off on a journey across Italy to explore abandoned and forgotten places, confronting their own pasts along the way. The film had its world premiere in September 2020 in the Venice Days section of the Venice International Film Festival and opened in Italian cinemas later that month. Jasmine Trinca received the Fred Award at the festival for her performance. The film was released in France in 2025 under the title La Ballade des cœurs perdus.
