Spy Games

Spy Games (released in some countries as History Is Made at Night) is a 1999 spy and action film co-produced by Finland, the United Kingdom and France. Directed by Ilkka Järvi-Laturi from a screenplay by Patrick Amos, it was filmed in Helsinki and New York City and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 1999.

Set in post-Cold War Helsinki, the story follows Harry, a jaded CIA agent, and Natasha, a young SVR operative assigned to watch him. As Natasha falls in love with her target, the pair must fight to save the world, their own lives and their secret romance. Blending romance, action and thriller elements, the film stars Bill Pullman, Irène Jacob and Bruno Kirby.
