Taare Zameen Par

Taare Zameen Par, released internationally as Like Stars on Earth, is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language psychological drama. It marked Aamir Khan's directorial debut, and he also produced it through Aamir Khan Productions. Amole Gupte wrote the screenplay, developing the idea with his wife, the film's editor Deepa Bhatia, while Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy composed the music and Prasoon Joshi penned most of the lyrics.

The story follows Ishaan, an artistically gifted eight-year-old whose unrecognized dyslexia leads to poor grades, prompting his parents to send him to boarding school. There, a new art teacher, Nikumbh, identifies his reading disorder and helps him overcome it. Darsheel Safary stars as Ishaan, with Khan as the teacher. Raising awareness of dyslexia in children, the film was a commercial and critical success, became India's official entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, and won five Filmfare Awards, including Best Film and Best Director.
