The Gift

The Gift (original title Le Cadeau) is a 1982 French-Italian comedy film directed and written by Michel Lang. Claudia Cardinale headlines the cast, which also includes Pierre Mondy, Clio Goldsmith, Renzo Montagnani, Rémi Laurent and Duilio Del Prete.

The picture adapts a stage play by Italo Terzoli and Enrico Vaime that had earlier found success in Italy through performances by Gino Bramieri, Valeria Valeri and Paola Tedesco. Shot in French, it opened in France on 24 March 1982 and was also distributed in some markets under the English title Bankers Also Have Souls. Its running time is roughly 103 minutes.
