The Tenant

The Tenant (Persian: مستأجر) is a 1972 Iranian film directed by Arman, who also appears in front of the camera. The cast includes Ali Dehghan alongside Reza Arham Sadr and Parvin Malakouti. Produced during the pre-revolutionary era of Persian-language cinema, the picture belongs to the wave of Iranian commercial filmmaking of the early 1970s. Surviving documentation on the title is sparse: sources agree on the director, the year of release and the principal performers, but provide no detailed account of its storyline. It remains a relatively obscure entry in the filmography of its director-star Arman.
