The Bride of the Sea
The Bride of the Sea (Persian: Arus-e Darya) is an Iranian feature film released in 1965. Arman directed the picture and shared writing duties with Abbas Pahlavan. Shot in Persian, it is headed by Füruzan and Behruz Vüsuki, while the supporting ensemble includes Iran Daftari and the celebrated singer Viguen. The production forms part of the wave of Iranian films made during the 1960s. Little reliable documentation survives regarding its storyline or how audiences received it, so the work is known today mainly through its credits and an extant theatrical poster.
