It's Written in the Stars
It's Written in the Stars (Persian: Bar Asman Neveshte) is a 1968 Iranian film directed by Siamak Yasemi, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ebrahim Zamani Ashtiani. The cast is led by Behruz Vüsuki, Füruzan and Taghi Zohouri, familiar faces of Iranian cinema of the period. The Persian-language production received a notably wide launch: its premiere took place simultaneously in thirteen cinemas across Tehran on 27 Azar 1347 of the Iranian calendar (December 1968), including the Europe, Rex, Miami, Asia, Pacific, Tisfoon, Homay, Silvana, Flor, Karun, Natali, Uranus and Goldis theatres. The film belongs to the commercial cinema of pre-revolutionary Iran, a time when popular melodramas and star vehicles dominated domestic production and films were routinely opened across multiple theatres in the capital.
