Taghi Zohouri — Biography

Taghi Zohouri (Persian: تقی ظهوری) was an Iranian film and stage actor and comedian, born in 1913 in Tehran.

Active for decades in the prolific pre-revolution Iranian commercial cinema known as Film Farsi, Zohouri appeared in dozens of films, frequently playing colorful comic supporting characters. He reached wide audiences through roles in some of the era's most popular productions, including 'Ganj-e Gharoon' (1965), 'Hossein Kord Shabestari' (1966) and 'Dalahoo' (1967), building a career that spanned from the 1950s into the early 1970s.

Taghi Zohouri died in 1992 in his native Tehran.
