The Laughing Widows
The Laughing Widows (Persian: Biveh-ha-ye Khandan) is a 1961 Iranian film directed and written by Nezam Fatemi. The cast is led by Mohammad-Ali Fardin, one of the most popular stars of pre-revolutionary Iranian cinema, alongside Taghi Zohouri, Humayun Tebrizyan and Zhaleh Olov. The ensemble also includes Tahmineh, Faranak Mirqahhari, Houshang Sarang and Ezzatollah Moghbeli. Produced in the Persian language, the film belongs to the commercial Iranian cinema of its era.
