Ganj-e Qarun is a 1965 Iranian film directed by Siamak Yasemi, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ebrahim Zamani Ashtiani. Blending drama, romance and comedy, the film stars Mohammad-Ali Fardin, Forouzan, Arman and Taghi Zohouri, with cinematography by Ahmad Shirazi, who shot the picture largely in black and white while filming its celebrated dance sequence in colour.

The film holds a landmark place in Iranian cinema history as the first domestic production to reach one million tomans at the box office. Songs performed by Iraj for the film became widely popular after its release, and the unprecedented wave of audience enthusiasm it generated gave the Iranian film industry new momentum, helping local cinema consolidate its position against the influx of foreign films for years to come.
