The Three Brothers

The Three Brothers (Les Trois Frères) is a 1995 French comedy film written and directed by Didier Bourdon and Bernard Campan, who star alongside their Les Inconnus partner Pascal Légitimus. It was the comedy trio's first feature film. The story follows brothers Didier, Bernard and Pascal Latour, who expect to inherit three million francs after their mother's death; deprived of the fortune by a codicil, the trio sinks into ruin and turns to delinquency to escape their creditors, all while caring for Didier's young son Michaël.

Released in late December 1995, the film drew over seven million admissions, topping the French box office for the year, and won the César Award for Best Debut in 1996. A sequel, Les Trois Frères : Le Retour, was released nineteen years later, in February 2014.
