Michel Berto — Biography
Born under the civil name Michel Hugues Ernest Noël Bertoliatti, Michel Berto came into the world in Grenoble on 25 December 1939 and spent his final years working in Paris. Active in French theatre both as a director and a performer, he built a screen career of roughly thirty film credits, among them Out 1, Le Bon Plaisir, Malevil and Beau-père. He had been married to two performers who both carried the Berto name, Juliet Berto and Marie Berto.
He was discovered dead on the third day of January, though official records list the previous day, leaving the precise timing of his passing unresolved. His filmography carried on into the 1990s with credits such as Merci la vie, Dédé and The Three Brothers.
