Le Bon Plaisir
Le Bon Plaisir is a 1984 French drama film directed by Francis Girod. It is adapted from the novel of the same name by journalist and writer Françoise Giroud, published the year before, and runs about 108 minutes.
The story is set in motion when the President of the French Republic belatedly learns that he has a son, born from an extramarital affair with his former mistress Claire. Determined to protect his reputation, the head of state turns to the secret service to cover up any incriminating evidence. Jean-Louis Trintignant stars as the President, with Catherine Deneuve as Claire; the supporting cast includes Michel Serrault, Alexandra Stewart and Claude Winter.
