Out 1: Noli me tangere is a 1971 French experimental film directed by Jacques Rivette and Suzanne Schiffman, regarded as one of the longest works in cinema history with a running time of nearly thirteen hours. Inspired by Honoré de Balzac's La Comédie humaine, particularly the History of the Thirteen collection, it unfolds across eight parts of roughly ninety to one hundred minutes each.

Rivette and Schiffman use this vast duration to build numerous loosely connected characters whose independent stories and subplots continually interweave; each part opens with black-and-white still photos recapping the previous episode. The parallel plotting was influenced by André Cayatte's two-part La Vie conjugale, while Rivette had first explored extended screen time in L'Amour fou. Starring Jean-Pierre Léaud, Michael Lonsdale and Bernadette Lafont, the film also exists in a truncated four-and-a-half-hour version titled Out 1: Spectre. Long difficult to see, it has earned consistent critical acclaim since its release.
