The Wicked Go to Hell

The Wicked Go to Hell (original French title Les salauds vont en enfer) is a 1955 French drama film directed by Robert Hossein, who also wrote the screenplay. Running about 91 minutes, it stands among the early screen works of Hossein's career in French cinema.

The ensemble cast features Henri Vidal, Marina Vlady, Serge Reggiani and Hossein himself, alongside Guy Kerner, Robert Dalban, Marthe Mercadier, Charles Blavette, Jacques Duby, Jean Clarieux, Lucien Raimbourg and Bachir Touré. The picture belongs to the tradition of dark-toned dramatic storytelling that characterized much of French filmmaking in the 1950s.
