Topoli

Topoli (literally "The Fatty") is a 1972 Iranian drama film written and directed by Reza Mirlohi. The script is adapted from John Steinbeck's novel Of Mice and Men, and the film is dedicated to Steinbeck. The title character Topoli is loosely based on the novel's Lennie Small, while Essi serves as an Iranian counterpart to George Milton. Morteza Aghili and Humayun Tebrizyan play the main roles. The Persian-language film has a runtime of 117 minutes.
