Valentina

Valentina is an Italian erotic thriller series that ran for a single season of 13 episodes on Italia 1 in the autumn of 1989. Adapted from the celebrated comic strip by Italian artist Guido Crepax, it centres on Valentina Rosselli, a photographer living in Milan, whose investigations are aided by the antiquarian Phillip Rembrant, with whom she maintains an ambiguous romantic connection. Demetra Hampton and Russel Case headline the production, supported by Kim Rossi Stuart and Eva Robin's. Although filmed in Italian, the two leads were actually voiced by other performers, and the show was later dubbed into English for international syndication. Footage drawn from six episodes was additionally assembled into a feature-length cut that found its way onto American cable channels as part of their late-night schedules.
