Tuncer Necmioğlu — Biography

Tuncer Necmioğlu was born on 17 December 1936 in Diyarbakır and died on 20 August 2006 in Istanbul. He began working in theatre during his student years and performed professionally with companies such as Arena, Ankara Sanat and Küçük Sahne before becoming known in cinema as a character actor. Alongside acting he worked as a screenwriter and was also recognised as a theatre critic. He appeared in films including Malkoçoğlu, Malkoçoğlu Ölüm Fedaileri, Çirkin Kral Affetmez, Cemo and Günahsızlar, and in the 1990s took a role in the series Saygılar Bizden. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he appeared in over 150 films and television productions, becoming a familiar face of Turkish cinema and television.
