Uğur Kurul — Biography

Uğur Kurul was born on 23 May 1991 in Istanbul. He attended Küçükköy Vocational High School, studying Computer Programming, before graduating from the Foreign Trade Department of Gelişim University. He began in acting as an extra, getting his first series experience at age 16 as Barış, Ceren's boyfriend, in Sihirli Annem. While at university he kept working as an extra in commercials and in the series Ezel, and drew attention appearing alongside Beren Saat in a Patos commercial; in 2012 he had a two-episode guest role in Çıplak Gerçek and also appeared that year in Ustura Kemal.

He had his real breakthrough playing Taner Hekimoğlu in the 2014 series Güllerin Savaşı, then took on the role of Cem in the 2016 Show TV series Gülümse Yeter, sharing the cast with Erdal Özyağcılar, Yılmaz Kunt, Aslı Bekiroğlu and Seray Kaya. That same year he opened a venue called Müptela in Asmalımescit with friends and appeared in singer Bedük's music video Koyver Kendini.
