War of the Roses (Güllerin Savaşı) (translated)

Güllerin Savaşı is a Turkish drama series that aired on Kanal D from July 8, 2014 until its 68th and final episode on February 6, 2016, spanning two seasons. Produced by Medyapım and directed by Emre Kabakuşak, with a screenplay by Melis Civelek and Sırma Yanık, each episode ran roughly 104 minutes.

The story follows young Gülru, who idolizes Gülfem Sipahi and longs to be like her, only to find herself caught in a painful adventure of revenge and intrigue. Ömer Hekimoğlu returns sorrowfully to Turkey after working abroad and is drawn to Gülru, the household servant who admires his former love Gülfem; meanwhile Gülfem's brother Cihan, traumatized since childhood by his sister's attempt to strangle him, also falls in love with Gülru. The series stars Damla Sönmez, Canan Ergüder and Barış Kılıç.
