Yıldız Tilbe — Biography

Yıldız Tilbe was born on 16 July 1966 in the Konak district of İzmir. She began singing in nightclubs at a young age, worked as a backing vocalist for Sezen Aksu in the early 1990s, and then made her mark as a soloist on the program Laf Lafı Açıyor, hosted by Cem Özer.

Her debut album Delikanlım, released in 1994, brought her a major breakthrough, and she quickly joined the ranks of Turkey's best-selling artists. Known for her emotional songs infused with eastern melodies, she has released close to twenty albums to date and has given hit songs to many famous names.

Yıldız Tilbe served as a jury member on the O Ses Türkiye competition in the 2017-2018 season and continues her stage work without pause. The artist, who turned 60 in July 2026, made headlines that same month with concerts in İzmir and Bursa.
